What one switch does

Find. Plot. Draw. Letter.

The same order a person works in: find the material, let the plots compete, draw with one face, letter the bubbles.

The real app

How far, and how long is left.

An episode takes most of an hour, so the app shows everything it is doing while you wait: which of the four steps it is on, the whole run as a percentage, the minutes left, and each panel the moment it is drawn.

From one episode to a series

Like an episode? Press next.

The same characters, the same art style and the same genre carry on. The last ending becomes the next first panel.

The face does not change.

A character sheet is drawn once, and every panel of every episode is drawn from it. In couple genres both leads have a sheet.

The last panel ends on a door opening, a line dropping or a notification. The next episode starts on that scene.

How it works

Switch on. Pick. Post.

You choose a language and a genre. The genre can be left on automatic.

  1. Switch on

Press the one Make button. You see how far along it is and how many minutes are left, and a notification arrives when it is done.

  2. Pick

Read what was made and keep the ones you like. For those, press next episode.

  3. Post

Page images, a long strip, a vertical video and a caption are ready. Press share.

What is different

Not a picture tool. It finishes an episode.

It does, in order, what an author does to put an episode out.

It finds the material

Today's searches, webtoon news and meme formats are gathered fresh each time. Offline, it writes from what it saved.

It lets plots compete

Several drafts are written, edited and compared in pairs. If a first-time reader cannot follow one, it is dropped.

It draws with one face

Each panel is drawn twice, and the one that matches the scene better is kept.

It letters the bubbles

Speech in bubbles, thoughts in thought bubbles, the situation in narration boxes, placed on the quiet part of the art.

It writes in webtoon grammar

The first-panel hook, the payoff, the identity reveal, the cliffhanger cut. 25 genres and 277 tropes are mixed.

It comes out in six languages

Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish: rewritten in each language's own voice, not translated word for word.

The cast

From round little animals to tall, striking leads.

A lead that suits the genre is chosen for you and designed fresh for each work. Or describe your own character in words and keep it. Every picture below was drawn by SwitchToon.

Genres it writes

Pick one or leave it on automatic. On automatic, half the episodes blend two genres.

FAQ

First questions

Why are there no credits?

The model that writes and the model that draws both run on your Mac. An episode costs us nothing, so there is no reason to count them.

What do I need?

An Apple silicon Mac (a MacBook Pro is recommended) with 16 GB of memory or more and macOS 14 or later. The models, about 14~21 GB, are downloaded once. With 24 GB or more the app uses a larger writing model, and the scripts get better.

How long does an episode take?

On the reference Mac a cover and 10 panels took 38–51 minutes. It is not an instant tool: you leave it on while you do something else, or while you sleep.

What is it weak at?

Quiet genres. In the script check, healing and slow-burn romance passed less often than the others. Panels where several figures interact, like a fight, are also redrawn more often.
