From the material to the files you post, an episode gets finished.

What the app does, in order. Every picture below is a webtoon SwitchToon made.

One button, and progress you can see.

This is the real app. Pick a language and a genre and press the button; it shows which of the four steps it is on, the whole run as a percentage, and the minutes left. Each panel appears the moment it is drawn.

The real screen of the SwitchToon Mac app: four steps, a percentage, minutes left and drawn panels
Language and genre are the only choices. Everything else is automatic.
It writes three drafts and matches them one on one until one is left.
Once, at the start: the download size and free disk space, before anything is fetched.

What one switch does

Find. Plot. Draw. Letter.

The same order a person works in: find the material, let the plots compete, draw with one face, letter the bubbles.

1. It gathers today's material

Search trends for the country that matches your language, webtoon news and meme formats are fetched. Everyday themes and genre tropes are mixed in, and material already used is left out.

  • Real people and real events are filtered out
  • Offline, it uses what it saved

2. Plots compete and one is kept

Several plots are written for each topic, an editor pass names their problems and rewrites them, and they are compared in pairs. If a reader who sees only the lines cannot retell the story, it is dropped.

  • The first panel is the strongest moment
  • The last panel calls for the next episode

3. It draws with one face

A character sheet is drawn once and every panel is drawn from it. Each panel is drawn twice and the one that matches the scene better is kept.

  • 15 art styles
  • 39 characters, 18 couples, or your own

4. It letters the bubbles and the cover

It finds the quiet part of the art, places the bubble there and points the tail at the character. The cover carries the title and the topic.

  • The app sets the type, not the image model
  • Fonts for all six languages

5. It makes the files you post

Page images (4:5), a long strip, a vertical video (9:16), a caption and hashtags.

  • Straight to the Mac's share sheet
  • Exporting is Pro

6. It carries on into the next episode

Press next episode on one you like and the story continues with the same characters and style. With autopilot on, it makes new ones at the interval you set.

Why it can be flat

Make more episodes. The price stays.

The model that writes and the model that draws both run on your Mac. With no server, there is no meter.

What is different

Not a picture tool. It finishes an episode.

It does, in order, what an author does to put an episode out.

It finds the material

Today's searches, webtoon news and meme formats are gathered fresh each time. Offline, it writes from what it saved.

It lets plots compete

Several drafts are written, edited and compared in pairs. If a first-time reader cannot follow one, it is dropped.

It draws with one face

Each panel is drawn twice, and the one that matches the scene better is kept.

It letters the bubbles

Speech in bubbles, thoughts in thought bubbles, the situation in narration boxes, placed on the quiet part of the art.

It writes in webtoon grammar

The first-panel hook, the payoff, the identity reveal, the cliffhanger cut. 25 genres and 277 tropes are mixed.

It comes out in six languages

Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish: rewritten in each language's own voice, not translated word for word.

Genres it writes

25 genres, 277 tropes.

Pick one or leave it on automatic. On automatic, half the episodes blend two genres.

The script, the art and the finished comic never leave your Mac.

Every model runs on your Mac. That is why there are no credits, and why your work is uploaded nowhere.

The internet is used to fetch material, to check sign-in and subscription, and, if you allow it, to send usage statistics.
